How do I get to Know God?
By Grace through Faith.
Grace is something we get that we don't deserve. God offers eternal relationship with him. We don't deserve that but he gives it to us when we believe that we can't get it on our own and rather believe on him to be our King and Savior.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV
1. Know that God loves you.
John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever beliveth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life"
2. Know that we're all sinners before a holy God.
Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
3. Know that sin has a price that must be paid.
Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord,
4. Know that Jesus Christ died to pay for your sin forever.
Romans 5:8 - "But God commendeth His love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us
5. You must pray and ask Jesus Christ to be your savior.
Romans 10:9 - "That if thou shall confess with they mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
To be sure you're saved and going to heaven, pray this prayer:
"Jesus, I confess I am a sinner, with no hope of heaven. By faith I ask you right
now to forgive my sins and to save my soul from Hell. Jesus, thank you for dying
on the cross for me. Help me now to live for you.
